1880's Fashion

In the 1880's the skirt fashion changed dramatically, with folds, drapes, and pleats, and it sorta resembled the bustle. And still, both skirts received a lot of trim and frill. At that time women's clothes wear made for working and to increase interest in out door activities. After 1882 skirts became wider and the back became more, how you say, BIG. And then came the bustle in 1883. The sides wear high puffs, and the bake of the dress sat high like it was on a throne. This stile lasted till 1886 wen it took full size. Around 1887 the bustle became flat and formed droopy folds on the back of it. And now the skirt hung straight from your hips. The skirt was made to look like one side of the front was higher then the other. And the back was gathered in several low hanging puffs. By 1888, many walking dresses had long skirts that hung straight, and high across the stomach band of folds. And the material tied in the back making it vary difficult to walk. Jerseys became popular in the 1880's. The jersey is a high neck wool sweater, with tight sleeves. The short corset reappeared in 1886, it's a tight fit with a crisp flare over the hips, wear worn from 1883-1886.

Chocolate Milk

Hi, it's Diamond.
This morning I made chocolate milk. It was supposed to be a smoothie but it didn't work. But it was so delicious! Want to know how I made it? If you do, here are the ingredients for it. 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract. 1/4 cup cocoa. 2 1/2 cup's milk. 1 tablespoon half & half. You will need a blender. First you put your vanilla extract in and you add the cocoa. Then mix it. When you're done with that, add the milk and the half & half. Then, if you want, you can add cinnamon. Then mix it and you're done. Hope you like it. <3 Diamond

My Daily School Schedule.

Hi there, it's Diamond. Today I'm going to tell you my school schedule. First I always get breakfast, then here comes my chores: Clean cat liter, feed the dogs and feed the lizard. Then I get dressed following with what I'm going to wear. The next part I like because I get to choose what book to read. But it's not always that fun. Then I do school which begins with bible and ends with. "Yay i'm done." If I get done early, I can play on the ipad, watch TV or get on the computer. For 2 of my friends I have to wait to play until it's 4:00. Then for 1 of my friends I wait until 6:00. When it's 4:00 or 6:00 and I'm done with school I can go play. There it is, my school schedule. Please comment and reed. By the way, I'm going to start doing videos for this. Well, see you next time on Diamond in the Rough.

Stuff about me

Hi, it's Diamond. Today I'm going to tell you stuff about me. Now where shoud we start? Found it! I was born in California. When I was 2 we moved to Tennessee. And we stayed there until I was 7. But let me tell you about it. I had 2 friends to play with on my street but they were boys. I had 2 dogs but then we moved to Florida. We'll get back to that later. My Dad worked at RTI and he still does but in Florida. My little sister was born in Tennessee and was the only one in our family born there. 2 years after she was born we moved to Florida so my Dad could do his job. It was a long drive in our small car. But when we got to our new house...I threw up all over my Mom's jacket. The next day there was LOTS OF WROCK BEING DONE AT OUR HOUSE. Now, I'll tell you about my friends here, from the first one I met to the last. 1st. A nice girl that lived next to me but she moved. 2int. A girl who taught me haw to ride a bike without training wheels. 3ed. A girl who's mom and dad are very safety wise. 4th. A girl who's from New York. 5th. A bossy girl who has a nice mom. 6th. A girl who has a sister with autism. 7th. My BFF that lives behind me. And those are my freinds. A year after we moved, 1 of my dogs died. But we got a new 1. It's a weiner dog. A few months ago we got a lizard. And last sunday we got a cat. Let me tell you what I've been doing today. This morning I cleaned my cat's liter box. Then I fed the dogs. And my lizard. After that I ate breakfast. Then I painted a picture of my little sister. After that I did my typing lessons. Then I ate lunch and finished my blog. The end. Thats it for today, Diamond in the Rough

Fun with spare time

Hi, this is Diamond. I'm sorry that I missed blogging yesterday, so I'm doing it today. Today I'm going to tell you how to have fun with your spare time! So you have all this spare time after school and you have done your homework and your friends haven't. What are you going to do? I have just the plan. Suggestion 1. Go in your backyard and play with your sibblings or the family dog. Suggestion 2. If you have a community pool you know what to do (Swim!) Suggestion 3. Ask your mom or dad if you can go to the park.(IF THEY SAY NO BEG AND CRY UNTIL THEY SAY YES. JUST KIDDING, DONT! YOU WILL GET GROUNDED.) Suggestion 4. Watch tv. If there is nothing good on, read a book. So, see you later on Diamond in the Rough.

Good tv shows

Hi, this is Diamond. Today I'm going to tell you about good tv shows. There are so many good tv shows. You might not know this but there are over 800 kids tv shows in the U.S.A. I think that there are more. Even my mom thinks so. Don't you think so, too? I do. Now lets get back to tv shows. Now you know that there are over 800 kids tv shows in the U.S. But not all of them, I like. I don't like Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles. They're for boys. And also, I think that there should be a tv show on Amelia Earhart. I have a book all about her and it's so cool. You should get it. Again, let's get back to my post. Boys might say, NO AMELIA EARHART!!! But I say, WOMEN ROCK! Well, see you later on, Diamond in the Rough.
